Roan Mountain State Park
Roan Mountain State Park (RMSP) sits at the base of Roan Mountain in Tennessee. Roan Mountain rises 6,285 feet above sea level and the twisting mountain road that gets you to the top is is a thrilling journey in itself. Roan Mountain State Park encompasses more than 2,000 acres dominated by rich hardwood forest along rugged ridges. The hiking trails at the top of Roan Mountain offer spectacular views and the cool, clear Doe River winds its way through the center of the park.

- Memorial Day – Labor Day: Open Daily 8:00AM to 6:00PM Off-Season: Open Daily 8:00AM to 4:00PM
- There are no entrance or parking fees at Roan Mountain State Park.
- Because of its elevation, Roan Mountain can be chilly, even in summer. Dressing in layers is strongly recommended.
